Design Systems And Design Thinking

In simple terms, a design system is a set of reusable components, guidelines, and standards that help maintain consistency across a product or suite of products. It’s like a recipe book for your UI, except instead of baking cakes, you’re baking interfaces. Every button, font, color, and widget has its place, and everything plays nicely together (or at least, it should).

Design thinking is a human-centered approach to innovation and problem-solving that combines what’s desirable from a user’s perspective with what’s technologically feasible and economically viable. Think of it as the Swiss Army knife of problem-solving – versatile, reliable, and always handy.

In the UX/UI world, design thinking takes you beyond the aesthetics of an app or website. It pushes you to ask: What does the user really need? How can I make their experience smoother, faster, or just more fun? (Yes, fun matters!) In short, design thinking ensures you’re not just designing for people but with them in mind.
